Natural coloring: The base is a warm natural unbleached wool color. The color of the fiber is best described as Ecru, Cream or Ivory, NEVER stark white! Spots appear most often a deep brownish-black against that cream ground. Rarer finds include cool gray or soft light brown markings, available in limited quantities.
Icelandic fleece is unlike any other. A dual-layer fiber produces the characteristic curly, high-loft texture you can see in the photos. These hides are visually rich, deeply tactile, and naturally insulating. The Icelandic curly hides have a distinctive texture and body that makes these skins amazing decorative pieces.

Care instructions
Icelandic sheepskin is durable and long-lasting when treated with a little respect. Follow these guidelines to keep your pelt looking its best for years to come.
Spot clean only, never machine wash. Use a wool specialist detergent and work gently. For any spill, blot immediately with paper towels or a clean cotton cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible, then spot clean the area with your wool wash.
Never rub or scrub the wool. Brush Monthly to keep the wool fluff and free of tangles.
Keep the leather hide dry. Never saturate or soak the hide side, and avoid getting it wet during cleaning. Water damages the leather and can cause it to stiffen or crack.
Shake and air regularly. Give your sheepskin a vigorous shake outdoors once a month to refresh the fibers and release any dust. Periodically air it out in cold, fresh air — this is the natural way to keep the wool lofty, clean, and beautifully textured.
